I welcome clients with a wide variety of issues. These can include Borderline Personality Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Substance Abuse, depression, anxiety, or relational problems. I work with the client collaboratively to understand and define the issues and goals for therapy. I can utilize several treatment modalities to address these goals in a way that feels good for the client. You as the client are in charge of deciding what you want and can provide a pathway to get there.
My treatment approach involves several best practice theories, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Gottman method and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My goal is to balance the positive benefits of validation and change. I help clients find ways to get short term relief from their symptoms while exploring underlying thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that get in the way of their goals.
I am passionate about the work I do. I foster a validating environment in which you can open up, feel genuinely cared for, and develop a trusting therapeutic relationship. I can guide you through the complex process of change.
